The short version
Lumen is for memorizing together. What you do here is seen by you and the people in the groups you join (a family, a Bible study, friends), and nobody else.
We never sell your information, we show no ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
What we keep
Your name, avatar and color, and your email if you create a profile (it signs you in; it is never shown to anyone).
Your progress: the verses you learn, your lessons and answers, XP, streaks, quests, oil and achievements.
What you choose to write: your why, your testimony, comments, cheers and nudges.
Your settings, your time zone, and this phone's notification token so reminders can reach you.
Anything you send through Help & feedback, with the app version and the screen you were on.
Reports you make, and the people you hide or block, so we can look into a report.
Who sees it
People in your groups see your name, avatar, streak, XP, lessons and posts on the feed, and your why and testimony if you leave them visible. A group's leaderboard, quest and verse are seen only by that group. You can hide yourself from the leaderboard in Settings.
Without a group, your progress is only yours.
Services we use
Supabase stores the data. Expo delivers notifications to your phone. When you use the course builder chat, what you type there goes to an AI service to suggest verses. Verse text always comes from the Berean Standard Bible in our own database.
Deleting your account
Settings > Delete account removes your account and everything above that belongs to you, right away. Your groups keep going without you; a group you started passes to the person who has been in it longest.
